CALL TO ORDER
Representative Hudson, Co-Chairman, reconvened the House Resources
Standing Committee at 2:00 p.m.
PRESENT
Committee members present at the call to order for the oversight
hearing were Representatives Hudson, Ogan, Green (via
teleconference) and Dyson.
Also attending:
Commissioner Michele Brown, Department of Environmental
Conservation; Commissioner Frank Rue, Department of Fish and Game;
Commissioner John Shively, Department of Natural Resources; Craig
Tillery, Assistant Attorney General, Environmental Section,
Department of Law; and Molly McCammon, Executive Director, Exxon
Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
Molly McCammon, Executive Director, Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee
Council, gave an overview of the oil spill, resulting litigation
and settlement, and creation of the council.
John Shively, Commissioner, Department of Natural Resources, gave
an overview of the department's role in land management in the
effected areas.
Frank Rue, Commissioner, Department of Fish and Game, responded to
questions pertaining to the council.
COMMITTEE ACTION
The committee took no action.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 3:11 p.m.
